    The Graphic Design team at Denver’s Baxa Corporation was awarded two 2005 American Inhouse Design Awards from Graphic Design USA – a national magazine for design professionals – for their humorous and creative work on a three-part direct mail campaign for the company’s Rapid-Fill™ Automated Syringe Filler (ASF). The team also won an award for Baxa Corporation’s 30th Anniversary product catalog, which featured extensive reference materials and special direct mail offers. The annual awards recognize the outstanding work of in-house designers.

    Colorado Governor's Award For Excellence In Exporting

    Baxa Corporation has been chosen to receive the Governor’s Award for Excellence in Exporting in an announcement made last week by Governor Bill Owens. The award honors Colorado companies that have made significant contributions to exporting during the past year. Award presentations will be made at the World Trade Day Dinner on May 18, 2005 at the Grand Hyatt in downtown Denver. Baxa Corporation was honored in the large-size manufacturing company category.

    Baxa Corporation was honored as Colorado’s Small Business Exporter of the Year at an awards ceremony held at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science on May 25, 2005. The award was presented by the Colorado Small Business Administration, and accepted by Baxa President and Chief Operating Officer, Jeff Baldwin.

    Baxa Corporation, a medical device manufacturer focusing on hospital pharmacy applications, was awarded a 2005 American Business Award for Best Sales Team in a ceremony held June 6th at the New York City Marriott Marquis. The national American Business Awards is the only business awards program honoring great performances in the workplace. The third annual American Business Awards ceremony featured Ali Velshi, host of CNN’s The Turnaround, as Master of Ceremonies for the program honoring more than 1200 nominees competing for awards in 55 categories. Baxa was honored with seventy-three other companies chosen from the semi-finalists.

    Brian Baldwin, founder and Vice Chairman of Baxa Corporation, was selected as an Ernst & Young 2005 Entrepreneur of the Year in a ceremony Thursday evening at the Donald Seawell Ballroom of the Denver Center for Performing Arts. Brian, the winner for the medical and health sciences category, joined eight other award winners in six different categories for the Rocky Mountain Region. Baxa Corporation manufactures and markets devices used for mixing, handling and dispensing fluid medications; including oral unit-dosing, IV admixture, syringe infusion and multi-source solution compounding.

    Baxa Corporation was recognized as a Top Company in an award ceremony held Thursday, September 8, at the Denver Center for Performing Arts. The annual competition, established by Colorado Biz magazine in 1988, highlights the best of Colorado businesses – those demonstrating financial and operational excellence as well as a commitment to giving back to their communities. This year’s competition resulted in 27 finalists in nine categories. Baxa Corporation was a finalist with CoorsTek Inc., Gates Corp. and Silicon Mountain Memory in the Manufacturing category.

    Awarded by the Colorado Bioscience Association (CBSA). Baxa Corporation is a long-standing member of CBSA. Its founder Brian Baldwin was a founding member of the Colorado Medical Device Association, which later merged with the Colorado Biotechnology Association to become CBSA. The company’s nomination listed performance and contribution as the key reasons for consideration as Company of the Year. Indeed, over the course of its 30 years of business, Baxa Corporation has grown more than 20% annually. As a participating member of CBSA, Baxa Corporation’s activities bring media attention and recognition to the organization.
