My dental trip to Europe started while sitting in a prosthodontist’s office in the USA. I was in disbelief at the quote he had just given me for my treatment plan to finish the work the orthodontist had begun about 13 months prior. To say I was unprepared for the amount he quoted would be understatement. I was prepared for an amount half the amount he quoted. After receiving similar quotes from 2 other prosthodontists in the US, I remembered a news story I heard about dental tourism in Hungary, and decided to pursue this possibility.

I contacted Dental-Offer, who immediately referred me to a partner in the US to work with. They were very professional and straight forward, and understood exactly what I was looking for. Their responses prompt, professional and understanding. I sent them my x-rays (obtained from my prosthodontist), and they had a treatment plan returned to me within days. They were very willing and competent to discuss my treatment plan with me, giving me many reassurances. For me personally, my treatment plan was about 1/3 the cost of treatment plans in the US.

Once I decided that I was going to travel to Hungary for my treatment, they were able to guide me through the entire process, making me very comfortable with the thought of pursuing treatment in Hungary. They kept in constant contact to be sure all the details were handled.

I was greeted at the Airport, transported to my accommodations, which they had made for me in a very comfortable and clean apartment, given a tour of the town, and even helped me purchase some groceries at a local market. There was even a European cell phone with numbers preprogrammed, in case I had any questions or concerns.

My treatment was in the quaint city of Mosonmagyaróvár, which is very charming. My dentist and his entire staff were courteous, professional, and very caring during my treatment. And they spoke English. My dentist was knowledgeable in all aspects of my treatment, eliminating the need to see many different dental professionals, as was required in the US.

If you are like me, you have probably spent more time in dental offices than you ever cared to, and therefore are quite familiar with the equipment used in those offices. To my pleasant surprise, the equipment I found in the dental office where I was treated was more technologically advanced than any of the equipment in the many dentist offices I have visited in the past few years in the US.

By the end of my first week, I had received 5 implants, had a broken root extracted (in the US they were going to require I be under anesthesia for this. The dentist here did it in under 2 minutes with a local anesthetic with absolutely NO pain and had long-term temporaries created. (Yes, I have a second visit.)
While here, Dental-Offer arranged to excursions for me, one to Bratislava and one to Vienna. What beautiful cities, full of rich history and world-class restaurants and shopping!

The bottom line for me was this – Dental-Offer provided me excellent personal service, making sure that all my needs and even some of my ‘wants’ were taken care of. I received dental treatment that was second to none, and now can eat and actually enjoy food again! I was not only made to feel like a client, but was made to feel as though I was important. Dental-offer is much more than just a travel liasion, they understand what it means to provide great customer service. They treated me like I was a member of their family, not a client they would never see again.

And all this after my first treatment. I will update this after the second treatment in a few months, but am confident that the same quality of care and treatment will be delivered. Thanks to Dental-Offer for helping me to accomplish my dental goals as well…

After having years of problems with my teeth and continuous unsatisfactory treatment, I was recommended by friends to go to Hungary and have my teeth finally sorted out. For two reasons, one cost and two for the excellent dental care available.

After my first initial visit I was delighted with the care and treatment. What should have been a very unpleasant time (mainly due to 3 teeth extractions and one implant) was actually very enjoyable.

I was met at the airport by Alex of Dental Offer. He took me to my hotel and explained exactly what would happen over the next few days. He was very caring and attentive and on the following morning, introduced me to my dentist was was absolutely lovely and spoke great English. And the surgery was extremely well equipped and the staff excellent.

Putting me in touch with your clinic dropped the overall costs to half including expenses. Due to being administered tetracycline antibiotic as a child, my teeth were tinted yellow. It has been a long-time dream of mine for me to have a bright pretty smile that would match my cheerful personality. But the cost of having my teeth capped here in the U.S. was far more than I wanted to spend on my teeth. Therefore I started investigating the dental tourism industry.

Hungary was my country of choice because of the large number of highly qualified dentists offering services at prices that were very competitive in the dental tourism market and the fact that Hungary is not a new-comer to the dental tourism market. I also like the fact that it is in Europe and I could visit capitals in surrounding countries.

I chose the city of Mosonmagyarovar for several reasons. It seemed like a safe, serene, relaxing small town of which my experience there proved to be true. I also liked the idea of relaxing in the thermal spa pool after a long session in the dental chair. Mosonmagyarovar turned out to be a quite charming little town with a old European feel to it. There were quaint bakeries and coffee shops to enjoy along it's cobble stoned streets and avenues. The people were friendly and I felt extremely safe walking the streets alone (even at night). From Mosonmagyarovar, I took day trips to Bratislava (capital of Slovakia), Budapest, and Vienna.

I chose Florian Scheuer as my dental tour guide because he has quite a bit of experience in providing these types of services, his English is excellent, and he was very honest and responsive in answering the many questions I sent via email. He provided me with a rental apartment that was very comfortable, well accommodated, and within a short walking distance to the dentist's office. I enjoyed the fact that I had a kitchen in my apartment and therefore didn't need to go to out to a restaurant on the occasions that I wanted to relax after a dental session. Florian stayed thoroughly apprised of my status (via the dentist and myself) throughout the entire time and ensured that everything was running smoothly.

I was thoroughly impressed with the dentists' dental skills and her customer relation skills. The dentist took me quite seriously when I told her that my teeth were extremely sensitive and that most dentists I'd been to seemed to not quite fully understand how much so. I told her that I have been known to cry in the dental chair and not to be too alarmed if I did so while being treated. She took my words to heart. I didn't cry once even though I had all 28 teeth prepped and capped. Also she didn't nick the inside of my mouth even once and that was quite amazing because I had to have quite a few old caps drilled down and pried out. I was extremely impressed by the fact that she noticed that I wasn't wearing any jewelry and she inquired as the whether I was allergic to any metals. I told her that I didn't know but I was sensitive to wearing jewelry for long periods. She had me tested and it was determined by a medical doctor that I was allergic to both cobol and nickel. When she was removing the amalgam from my existing fillings, I had an intense sneezing fit. No other dentist had even thought to have me tested. I had her use gold to make the structure for my new crowns.

Also I send my thanks to Helga at poshjourneys.com in Reno, Nevada for arranging my journey and swiftly and effectively handling the travel problems that occurred due to the massive snowstorm that moved across the midwest and adversely affected all my flights.

Not only do I now have a pretty smile, my teeth aren't overly sensitive. I can have a piece of ice in my mouth without any pain. I'm also happy with the thought that future visits to the dentists for cavity fillings and tooth crowns has likely been greatly reduced (if not even eliminated).

For the past 10 years I have suffered with toothaches, and tooth pain. My eating habits reflected my tooth problems, avoiding foods that could possibly send waves of pain through my body. My teeth and their associated pain became a way of life.

I first read about "dental tourism" in USA Today (7/28/2005). Other articles were cited in the San Francisco Chronicle, The Los Angeles Times and Arthur Frommer's Budget Travel. My interest took on new urgency after visiting my local Florida dentist and being shocked at hearing a cost quotation for some much needed work.

I started my communication with Florian Scheuer. He got me me a dental quote of a dentist in Mosonmagyarovar, Hungary. Florian requested my x-rays and got right back to me with a quotation for the dental part of our anticipated trip and the anticipated cost of local accommodations. My wife and I were soon on the plane to Vienna.

There were no surprises. Florian was excellent in all his communication and in his taking care of all the travel details. The dentist's expert and professional skill was very impressive. He also stayed within the original quotation.

We had a wonderful time in Hungary and Austria. Mosonmagyaróvár is a lovely village town with the added attraction of world class spas. Budapest is two hours away; Vienna only an hour. The beautiful Danube River is within easy driving distance.

The bottom line for me is that I was very satisfied with all the arrangements and the results of my dental tourism venture. It is a pleasure for me to offer an endorsement for both Florian and the dentist. The one recommendation I would offer is to be sure to allow yourself enough time to thoroughly enjoy the local travel. My extensive dental work required 7-8 days. We had booked 14 days and wished we had five more days to extend our travel time.

Thanks again for your prompt response on my request and "no-hassle" treatment plan. Being involved with the management of an international company, my time is very limited. The professionals at Dental-Offer recommended a 5 day treatment plan, however, my busy schedule only allowed three days and Dental-Offer made this possible. When I arrived in Bratislava, the Dental-Offer staff transferred me to a condo in Mosonmagyaróvár. The condo was my preferred choice as I did not want to stay in a hotel room during my dental treatment. I found the condo very welcoming and clean. I took full advantage of the nearby mineral spa every day, picked up necessary groceries, enjoyed historical Roman sites and enjoyed the town of Mosonmagyaróvár, both day and night. A car was never necessary since everything was within walking distance. The people of Mosonmagyaróvár were very friendly and I felt very safe while walking both day and night.

My husband is a vice president at a university and I am a professor of Information Technology at a community college. Even with great dental insurance we were about to pay over $12K for 4 implants with three teeth removed as well in our local area in Virginia.
