We are proud to announce that our first chart audit by an insurance company for credentialing since implementing MedcomSoft Record in 2005 was a huge success. This was the first insurance company that was capable of auditing an electronic medical record. Since implementing MedcomSoft Soft Record, we have been approached by several insurance companies desiring to audit our records but basically credentialed our clinic without inspecting our records because they were incapable of auditing a paperless environment. Because of the superior programming MedcomSoft offers, we were confident that we would pass all areas of the audit. We surpassed the expectations of our auditor and were happy to earn highest marks in all categories. The auditor was very impressed with the ability to retrieve pertinent patient information within seconds; for example, patient allergies, medical, family and social history. She was also intrigued with our form set up and the ability to prompt the provider to document important, relevant elements. Our auditor was very impressed with the functionality of our software and even asked for the name so she could recommend it to other medical offices.
