  As told by our designer, Lori Lewis: "After a brief exploration of jewelry making during college, I didn't pick up a bead again until my early 30's, At that time I felt compelled to seek out a better way to live my life, to find a way to be able to do work that I loved. I knew I wanted to design what I then called “life accessories”, various items for the home which would be designed to beautify their surroundings, inspire the spirit and soothe the soul. I planned to include jewelry but it was not then the focus of my business. Then I went bead shopping for some supplies to make jewelry prototypes. Once I saw the aisles of glittering beauties, it was all over -- and my fledgling company, Affirmative Accessories, became a jewelry design house. My first jewelry collection, Genesis, debuted in Spring 2004 to the rave reviews of family and friends. Our newest collection launched our website, AffirmativeAccessories.com in winter 2005." |
