Company History

The company was founded in 2010 by Paul Reynolds. Paul Reynolds is a lawyer with extensive experience in property acquisition, financing, development and management, as well as construction contracting. He has syndicated three self storage businesses; an office building (Kamloops) and an apartment building (Nanaimo). He owns a portfolio of income properties and part of a shopping centre (Alberta).

Paul has been General Counsel of several large companies including Hong Kong’s main electric utility and the Asian arm of the largest electric company in the United States. During his legal career he was part of the team doing two initial public offerings (NYSE and Hong Kong stock exchange) as well as various listed bond and securities offerings. He was also responsible for securities law and other compliance processes.

From 1985 to 1988 he was chief legal counsel to Shui On Group, then Hong Kong’s largest contractor and a major developer of apartments, hotels and offices.

Between 1988 an 1995 he was head of the Property Department at the Baha’i World Centre in Israel. He created the new unit to acquire, develop and manage 500 properties and acquire 210 properties in four years. The property portfolio included office buildings, warehouses and industrial space. Paul’s office supported $200 million in construction projects.

In 1995 he became chief legal counsel to Toronto’s Reichmann brothers. Their company, Olympia & York, was Canada’s largest property developer. At one point it owned 15% of all office space in Manhattan, New York. It also developed the gigantic Canary Wharf project in London.

In recent years Paul has consulted in the areas of legal risk management in Canada.
