JOB DESCRIPTION
 
Manage/hands on the manufacturing engineering functions for the Marinette operation. Support the functional and budgetary operations of the department and direct the efforts of employees performing manufacturing engineering functions.
*Provide associates with work assignments, guidance and support.
*Evaluate associate performance and review as required.
*Support production needs in a fast paced manufacturing environment.
*Drive and facilitate training and development of manufacturing methodologies and technologies including the application of Lean technologies, 5S, Kaizan events, and Six Sigma tools.
*Support continuous improvement projects as well as cost reduction efforts and goals.
*Prepare and adhere to departmental budgets.
*Support plant shutdowns and preventive maintenance schedules.
*Prepare and implement capital plans and manage selection and justification of capital equipment.
*Ensure capital projects are completed on-time and within budget.
*Manage both internal and external production tooling.
*Manage routings and IE functions as required.
*Manage ergonomic efforts for the operation by ensuring that appropriate safety and manufacturing methods are implemented.
*Implement and assist environmental related projects, new manufacturing technology and automation projects.
*Support the new product introduction process and redesign review methods.
*Participate in supervisory and management meetings.
*Ensure appropriate metrics are maintained and in place for team performance.

Experience:
*B.S. degree in Mechanical, Industrial Engineering or equivalent*Minimum 5 years Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering experience*Related management experience required*Experience with automation equipment such as robots, servos, PLC's, etc.*Experience with welding, metal forming and pressure vessels.*Experience with painting, leak testing and assembly equipment necessary.*Experience with chemical processing would be a plus.*Six Sigma experience/certification is a plus.*Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills along with a high sense of urgency and pro-active approach to problem solving.
