Under general supervision, primary responsibilities include completion of SEC filings, management of internals controls and compliance with Sarbanes Oxley and keeping abreast of technical accounting updates. Position will also assist in the monthly close process and special projects. May interpret reports and records for management.

Principal Duties

Prepare SEC filings Form 10-K, Form 10-Q, Proxy and other SEC filings
Responsible for Sarbanes Oxley and ensuring compliance with Section 404 including:
Overall project management related to internal and external 404 testing
Maintenance and completion of internal control documentation including updates and additions to existing documentation as deemed necessary
Overseeing documentation and testing of internal controls over the financial reporting process in connection with the company's SOX 404 internal control requirements
Develop and implement remediation recommendations to improve internal controls as necessary
Monitor new SEC, FASB and PCAOB reporting requirements and accounting pronouncements. Assess and communicate the impact of changes in reporting requirements and accounting pronouncements on Cogent.
Assist in month end close process
Participate in special projects as requested.

Experience:
