R. W. Beck is looking for a candidate that can combine technical expertise and business acumen to provide consulting services to public sector water, wastewater, solid waste, and stormwater utilities.
These consulting services would include providing support for:
Development of capital projects using Alternate Contracting methods Capital projects oversight Financial planning Management consulting, including capital project prioritization, and, operations reviews This position provides the opportunity to apply technical concepts to develop solutions for the business, financial, and managerial aspects of utilities. Instead of thinking in terms of design standards or budgeting, you will be challenged to apply your technical and business / financial background to think in terms of risk and policy. As a result, the ability to think broadly and conceptually, to understand the relationship between technical and business issues, to conduct rigorous financial / economic analyses, and to communicate results for decision makers are essential. Demonstrated creative problem solving is a plus.
Responsibilities would initially be supporting senior practitioners in these areas, with increasing amounts of client interaction, business development, and junior consultant supervision.
