BankInfoSecurity.com Announces Strong Authentication Reference Kit

In October 2005 the Federal Financial Institution Examination Council (FFIEC) issued guidance stating that single-factor authentication methodologies may not provide sufficient protection for Internet-based financial services, and the deadline for compliance is year-end 2006.

North Brunswick, NJ, May 02, 2006 --(PR.com)-- As the deadline looms for banks and financial services organizations that offer Internet-based services to assess their authentication methodologies and gear up to implement a stronger authentication method, many of these institutions are looking for guidance to interpret and takes steps to comply.

BankInfoSecurity.com has taken steps to assist with the issues the banks and financial services organizations are facing and has developed a Strong Authentication Reference Kit.

What are reference kits? Simply put, BankInfoSecurity.com has put together a group of articles, regulations, webinars (online seminars), and important documents all related to one major banking information security industry topic. These reference kits act as a starting point to research on a specific topic, and help to organize basic information that might otherwise take hours to research, find, and group together.

The Strong Authentication Reference Kit, in particular, is a major resource tool for any person or institution looking for information on the FFIEC guidance. The reference kit includes the original FFIEC guidance, white papers devoted to different authentication strategies, a number of articles and commentary on strong authentication, and a 45-minute webinar devoted to the topic.
