Florida–3 Airboat Search and Rescue Joins Search for Caylee Anthony

At the request of Texas EquuSearch, FL-3 Airboat Search and Rescue assisted in the Labor Day weekend search for Caylee Anthony.

Orlando, FL, September 04, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Florida-3 Airboat Search and Rescue, of Tampa, Florida, responded to a request from Texas EquuSearch to provided airboats and operators to assist in the search for the missing 3-year-old Caylee Anthony.

Equipped with four specially designed rescue airboats, high-tech side-scan sonar and four-wheel-drive vehicles, FL-3 Airboat SAR responded to Texas EquuSearch’s request with 25 trained rescue personnel and search dogs. The FL-3 Airboat SAR team was assisted by Manatee County Search and Rescue and the Tampa Bay Search and Rescue teams.

Under the direction of Captain Kevin Roderiques, FL-3 Airboat SAR team commander, the teams searched a 4,560 acre area south of the Orlando International Airport that included 1,850 acre Lake Hart, 1,158 acre Lake Mary Jane and 1,551 acres of woodlands.

FL-3 Airboat Search and Rescue will continue to assist Texas EquuSearch until Caylee Anthony is found or all resources are exhausted.
