PR.com)-- Ragsdale Liggett PLLC (www.rl-law.com) has announced that Robert J. Ramseur Jr., a partner at the firm, has been named the 2008-2009 president-elect of the Rotary Club of the Capital City. In this position, Ramseur will preside over club meetings in the absence of the president and serve as a member of the board of directors in preparation for his service as president in 2009-2010. The Rotary Club is an organization of business and professional leaders who help build goodwill, provide humanitarian services and encourage high ethical standards in all vocations.
As a partner at Ragsdale Liggett PLLC, Ramseur heads the residential real estate department. Licensed to practice law in North Carolina, he formed his own firm in 1997 and in 2001, merged his practice with Ragsdale Liggett PLLC. He is also a licensed real estate broker in North Carolina. Ramseur serves on the Wake County Bar Association Facilities Committee, is active in the Wake County Real Property Lawyers Association and is a member of the American, Wake County, 10th Judicial District and North Carolina Bar Associations.
In 2007, Ramseur was honored with the 40 Under 40 Leadership award from the Triangle Business Journal. This award honors successful business leaders under the age of 40 who are making a difference in the community.
A graduate of Wake Forest University, Ramseur and his wife reside in Raleigh with their two children.
