20 Hours of Free In-Home Care for Veterans in USA

Denver, CO, November 11, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Twenty Hours of Caregiving Provided Free to Veterans, Families from Homewatch CareGivers “We Care for Veterans” National Program.

To honor U.S. military personnel for their service and sacrifice, Homewatch CareGivers, the largest and most experienced international franchise provider of in-home care, is offering up to 20 hours of free in-home care to disabled U.S. military veterans of any conflict—from World War II and Korea to the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq--in its “We Care for Veterans” program.

“We know that many family members act as caregivers for returning disabled military and they are often responsible for childcare as well as elder care. We hope our donation of in-home care can directly help meet the veteran’s care needs or that it benefits family caregivers by giving them time for themselves or additional support with their daily schedules and duties,” said Leann Reynolds, president, Homewatch CareGivers.

An estimated 10,000 disabled veterans of the Iraq and Afghanistan conflicts depend on their parents, who are Boomers and older, to be their caregivers, according to the Wounded Warrior Project, The Military Family Network and Coalition to Salute America’s Heroes.
