Port St Lucie, FL, November 18, 2008 --(
PR.com)-- Family, friends, and HarborPlace staff were on hand to celebrate as Dorothy Burns turned 100. An enormous card, signed by almost 50 residents, was presented to Dorothy. Marshall, a HarborPlace favorite happy-hour entertainer, played and sang while the residents danced and sang along, while sharing a large birthday cake.
Fellow independent resident Irving said, “Dorothy is sharp as a tack and witty… she is so funny! You’d never know she was 100. She has two daughters and a granddaughter who came to the party, one prettier than the next; one even came from Wyoming.”
Ann, another Retirement Resort resident, added, “And the one from Wyoming brought her adorable son with her and let all the residents take turns holding him.”
The birthday event was the result of a team effort by HarborPlace staff. For all those wonderful residents who turn 100 or more, HarborPlace gives a party. HarborPlace residents enjoy the family spirit the parties bring to the retirement community.
