COMEX to Host e-Government Services

Driven by the country’s Digital Strategy, COMEX 2009 will feature e-government services, aimed at enhancing public awareness of the importance and practical applications of such services towards developing a digital society.

Muscat, Oman, May 01, 2009 --(PR.com)-- To be held from 25th to 29th of May 2009 at the Oman International Exhibition Centre, COMEX will highlight e-Government services such as e-payment, e-tendering, e-health, e-learning as well as e-gaming.

Likewise, it will feature the e-tendering solutions, which enable public and private sectors to carry out aspects of the tender process online, including registration, documentation and fees, eliminating manual process and paper work.

ICT investment is viewed as a key element in the Sultanate’s diversification plan. It is expected to have a greater impact on major healthcare institutions, education and entertainment sectors.
