Motorcycle Adventuress Lois Pryce Recounts Stirring Stories from the Saddle on BlogTalkRadio’s Ride!
Toronto, Canada, May 13, 2009 --(
PR.com)-- Lois Pryce is on the loose again. After a pulse-pounding, soul-searching solo ride from Alaska to the tip of South America, the restless Brit hit the road from London to Cape Town in late 2006. The result is a new book called Red Tape and White Knuckles (Random House).
Pryce will guest on Ride! for a live podcast at 4 p.m. Eastern Time on Friday, May 15, 2009 to talk about her latest road adventure. Tune in to Ride! on the BlogTalkRadio network at www.blogtalkradio.com/ride.
Both books are an inspiration to riders everywhere, especially since Pryce obtained her motorcycle license only in 2000. She cut her teeth on vintage BSAs before graduating to off-road riding on a Yamaha XT225 Serow, the trail bike she rode through the Americas.
Pryce blazed her way down the length of Africa on a Yamaha TR250. Her ride, covering more than 16,000 kilometres over four months, took her down the west side of Africa where she encountered the Sahara, war-torn Angola, and the Congo Basin, among other challenges.
