PR.com)-- Green technology pioneer and CTO of Zero Motorcycles Neal Saiki generated a lot of buzz with his California company’s first electric dirt bike a couple of years ago. The buzz has just kicked into higher gear with the release this month of a new high-performance urban street bike called the Zero S.

An aeronautical engineer by training, Saiki set a World Aviation Record while still in college by creating the first successful human-powered helicopter. The inventor later worked as a project manager at NASA developing high altitude research vehicles.
Saiki spent years designing mountain bikes that have won world and national awards before setting out to develop the ultimate electric-powered motorcycles. The Zero S is designed to deliver 100 km of distance with a top speed of 100 kph (60 mph). It can go 0-to-100 kph in just 5 seconds and weighs only 102 kg (225 lbs).
