New Amsterdam Plein and Pavilion to be Delivered by the Kenneth Clark Company

Gift from the Government of Netherlands to the City of New York to be delivered by the Kenneth Clark Company.

Ellicott City, MD, July 06, 2009 --(PR.com)-- The Kenneth Clark Company based in Ellicott City, Maryland has been awarded the contract to handle the logistics and specialized trucking for the delivery of the New Amsterdam Plein and Pavilion. The pavilion, a gift from the Netherlands Government to the City of New York to commemorate the 400th Anniversary of the discovery of the Island of Manhattan by Captain Henry Hudson. The New Amsterdam Plein and Pavilion will be delivered to the Peter Minuit Plaza in Battery Park from the manufacture in Powhatton, Virginia where it will be used as a major intermodal transportation hub. The Pavilion will be shipped in 4 separate sections with each section exceeding 25' length, 16' in width, and 11' in height. The shipments will be classified as Super Loads by the states due to the size of the pieces, and will require special permitting, routing, escorts, and police escorts.
