www.SetForMarriage.com, designed to match up people who are ready to settle down into a permanent relationship and long-term commitment, including marriage. The web site is designed to filter out casual daters or people looking for one night stands, to help people find serious partners ready to commit to a life of long-term happiness and companionship.
Sick of his friends' struggles to find long-term relationships online, founder Bradley Boyd created a website for people who are ready to settle down and get married. “I was tired of hearing my friends and co-workers grouse about their unsuccessful attempts to find long-term relationships on popular online dating sites,” explained Bradley Boyd, founder of Bradley Boyd Enterprises, LLC. “That's when I decided to create a relationship website exclusively for people like me and them -- people who are ready to settle down and get married.”
A recent lawsuit against a popular online dating website, alleged that their practice of keeping up profiles of non-paying members, members who are not allowed to reply to messages, "defrauds the customer of his/her time, labor and emotional investment." Boyd emphasized that
www.setformarriage.com, during its initial launch, will not charge for a membership and will allow all registered users to message one another for free. He explained that paid memberships are being considered for the future and that, if paid memberships are ultimately introduced, paying members will be identified as such to avoid confusion.
In developing the SetForMarriage web site, Boyd collaborated with his former Navy shipmate, Jarin Udom. After consultation with Udom, Boyd hired Robot Mode LLC, Udom's San Diego-based software company, to develop the site. Boyd and Udom emphasized that SetForMarriage.com not only caters to heterosexual individuals, but also welcomes people seeking same sex long-term relationships. "It's unfortunate that it took a lawsuit for popular online dating sites to embrace the gay and lesbian community," Udom said. "We think everyone deserves to be happy."
