Boston Scientific Completes Clean Room Trial of Shoe Inn Products

Boston Scientific, the world’s largest medical device company dedicated to less-invasive medicine, has started using Shoe Inn’s automatic shoe cover dispensers and specialized shoe covers in their Valencia neuromodulation location.

Sparks, NV, August 01, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Shoe Inn, a division of Complete Business Systems International, Inc. that strives to eliminate gymnastics and gravity-defying contortion for individuals and companies that use disposable shoe covers, is providing automatic shoe cover dispensers and specialized shoe covers to Boston Scientific after completion of a clean room trial at the company’s location in Valencia, CA.

Boston Scientific's neuromodulation business is a leading developer of microelectronic technologies that modulate nerve activity to treat disabling disorders. The company recently completed a trial of the Shoe Inn Stay automatic shoe cover dispenser and heavy-duty, non-slip, waterproof shoe covers called Super Reboots for an ISO Class 7 clean room where neuromodulation devices and leads are built.

Disposable booties are an important barrier against dirt, grime, and other contaminants. “But putting other shoe covers on is challenging, especially since you want to avoid contaminating your hands from touching your shoes, not to mention the bending over and contorting in defiance of gravity,” says Jeff Foster, Product Manager for Shoe Inn. Fortunately, automatic shoe cover dispensers help to prevent contamination and maintain a clean, professional environment.

“Using automatic shoe cover dispensers is definitely more than just a novelty and a convenience,” noted Foster. The time saved in having booties automatically placed on employees’ shoes—instead of finding a place to sit down or alternately balancing on one leg while trying to put the bootie on the other foot—translates into increased productivity for the company. “The most important reason behind the decision to use these automatic bootie dispensers and specialized booties is the reduction in potential worker’s comp claims from falls while trying to put conventional booties on and while wearing booties without significant traction on smooth floors,” said Foster.
