London, United Kingdom, August 19, 2009 --(PR.com)-- A new ebook, Quit Your Day Job, demonstrates that it is possible to make a living while doing what you love. The 24-page ebook is available for free download at www.aliventures.com/quit-your-day-job. It details three different routes to a job-free income, and includes quotes from self-employed professionals who left “soul-sucking” jobs to pursue their true interests.

The author of the ebook, Ali Hale, left her own job in the IT industry a year ago, and makes a living from blogging. Dismayed by the number of her contemporaries settling for jobs they disliked, she wrote an ebook outlining three methods of making a living without a job, all of which she has direct experience with: freelancing, starting a small business, and making passive income from websites.

With job cuts and unemployment running high, many people are anxious about job security. Ali says, “How secure are you, really, when you have one employer? You could get dismissed or made redundant. The company you work for could go under. In a single stroke, all your income would be wiped out. If you live a job-free lifestyle, your income is derived from multiple sources – and it’s easy to add more.”

In Quit Your Day Job, Ali writes, “More and more people are turning their backs on wage dependency and striking out on their own. More and more people are finding ways to do what they love – and making a living from it.” She sets out several steps for would-be quitters to take before handing in their resignation letter, including:
· Make an escape plan
· Set your release date
· Build up your freedom fund

Ali also publishes bi-weekly articles on her website, www.aliventures.com, about “getting more from life”. The ebook was inspired by her two-part article looking at typical attitudes to work.
