Atlanta, GA, October 03, 2009 --(PR.com
)-- Atlanta Magician Debbie Leifer made laughter and smiles magically appear at the Red Cross Disaster Relief Shelter at the Cobb Civic Center in Marietta Georgia.
Families staying at the shelter either lost their houses to the recent floods, or their homes remain uninhabitable due to the damage caused by severe September storms. Children and their parents were able to forget their troubles for a little while as they were treated to a performance of “Magic Debbie’s Fabulously Funny Comedy Magic Show”.
Leifer said, “The real magic of what I do is bringing laughter, smiles, and joy to people. Donating my time to entertain these families hopefully allowed them to escape from the realities of their current challenges, at least for a few minutes.”
Leifer performs as “Magic Debbie” at elementary schools, libraries, private parties, fundraisers, and holiday celebrations with her Comedy Magic. For schools she offers educational magic shows about healthy eating, the environment, staying away from drugs and alcohol, and The Magic of Reading. The other segment of her business focuses on creating Customized Corporate Magic and Motivational Speaking for meetings, conferences, trade shows, cocktail parties, and celebrations. Leifer is a successful Keynote Speaker for regional and national conferences, corporate meetings, and civic organizations across America with customized motivational presentations including “YOU Are The Magic!”, “The Positive Power of Change”, “The M.A.G.I.C. of Successful Sales”, and “The Five Secrets of M-A-G-I-C!”
She has traveled the world with her magic, including performances on eight Caribbean cruises, and five tours of Japan and Hong Kong. Leifer has entertained President George H.W. Bush, Georgia Governor Sonny Perdue, Atlanta Mayor Shirley Franklin, World Champion Evander Holyfield, Jane Fonda, Valerie Harper, former Atlanta Mayor Andrew Young, the entire Georgia Supreme Court, and World Champion Muhammad Ali.
“Last time I was involved with the Red Cross was when I performed magic to raise funds to send to New Orleans after Katrina”, said Leifer. “Who could ever imagine that a similar situation would affect residents of Atlanta? I’m happy to do my part to help these families make their worries disappear for a little while, and magically transform their burdens into happiness… even for just one hour.”
