PR.com)-- Marie Chan, ASID, CID, has taken office as President of the CA Peninsula Chapter of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID), the largest professional organization for interior designers in the nation.
ASID promotes professionalism in interior design services and products for the workplace and home. It conducts independent research on topics related to the practice and business of the profession including materials, technology, building codes, government regulations, flammability standards, design psychology and product performance. Through rigorous testing and continuing education, ASID designers protect the health, safety, and welfare of the public in interior environments.
The CA Peninsula Chapter has over 650 members in San Mateo, Santa Clara, Santa Cruz and Monterey Counties. It represents cutting edge professionals who maintain the highest level of design standards and business ethics. The Chapter’s interior designers, students and Industry Partners have frequently participated in community service projects for the benefit of neighboring non-profit organizations.
Marie Chan, ASID, CID, is principal of
InterSpace Design, an interior design and space planning firm based in Santa Clara. The firm handles both residential and commercial projects in the Silicon Valley.
