New York, NY, October 09, 2009 --(PR.com)-- The Litchfield County Auction on iGavel is made up of four distinctive sales. The first is European, Asian & Ethnographic Arts & Antiques. This sale is a group of property from an extensive New York collection that includes ten 17th & 18th century tapestries, Oriental carpets, 18th century furniture and 19th century paintings.

The second sale is Tiffany Lamps, Modern Art & Design. The 450+ lot auction includes art pottery & art glass, art deco through contemporary studio furniture, modern lighting and a range of artwork from American WPA and Ashcan painters to contemporary Chinese artists.

The third sale is titled Property from The Estate of Leonard Newman, as decorated by Albert Hadley. The Newmans’ apartment was decorated in an eclectic mix of both fine modern furniture and interesting European and African antique furniture.

The fourth sale is Property from The Estate of Alice Lawrence, Ridgefield, CT. The property includes important modern furniture, lighting and decorative objects. The Lawrence collection included several works by Judy Kensley McKie who is widely recognized as a premiere figure in the American studio furniture movement.
