Drugs of Abuse Reagents on Randox Clinical Chemistry Analysers

Crumlin, United Kingdom, October 17, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Randox have launched Drugs of Abuse (DoA) reagents for use on the RX Series of Clinical Chemistry Analysers. You can now detect 10 drugs of abuse in human urine on quality systems offering time, labour and cost savings.

Drug abuse is a serious problem worldwide and its prevalence is increasing year after year. The abuse of drugs not only has the obvious impacts on the individual’s health, which can be fatal, it is also the cause of countless traffic accidents and violence. It can affect the workplace with high levels of absenteeism, accidents and poor productivity. An effective method of detecting Drugs of Abuse is therefore crucial.

Randox are revolutionising DoA testing. DoA tests available include; Cannabinoids (THC), Cocaine Metabolite, EDDP, Ecstasy (MDMA), Methadone, Opiates, Amphetamines, Barbiturates, Benzodiazepines and Ethanol.
