Motorcycle Adventurer Glen Heggstad Shares Insights From His Search for Global Understanding on BlogTalkRadio’s Ride
Toronto, Canada, November 21, 2009 --(
PR.com)-- In the wake of post-9/11 paranoia in America, Glen Heggsted set out on a gritty adventure to experience the world through the eyes of those living in the developing world.
The result is his just-released book called One More Day Everywhere: Crossing 50 Borders on the Road to Global Understanding (ECW Press). It vividly describes his 55,000 mile ride from Siberia to Africa via the Middle East, Gaza Strip, and Pakistan and his revealing encounters with those cultures.
Heggstad left the life of an outlaw motorcyclist to become an international martial arts champion and adventure travel writer. He’s been interviewed about his travels on network TV including CNN’s Larry King Live, MSNBC, and CBS 48 Hours. His previous book Two Wheels Through Terror, about his capture by Colombian terrorists, was made into an award-winning National Geographic documentary.
