Gulfstaff LLC Forms Strategic Alliance with High Productivity of India

Biloxi, MS, October 06, 2006 --(PR.com)-- Gulfstaff LLC, a temporary and permanent staffing placement firm of Biloxi, Miss., has formed a strategic alliance with High Productivity, an executive search and employee placement firm of Vadodara, Gujarat, India.

The new alliance will enable Gulfstaff to better fill the growing demand for experienced personnel in information technology, finance, banking, law, and management. It also provides Gulfstaff with a ready source for experienced petroleum, manufacturing, and hospitality industry workers, as well as medical personnel, all in high demand on the Gulf Coast and nationwide. In the other direction, the alliance enables Gulfstaff and High Productivity to serve as conduits for U.S. companies planning to set up marketing, manufacturing, technology transfer, data processing, and other business operations in the burgeoning Indian market, or in third countries.

“This is an exciting development for Gulfstaff and opens up whole new sources for recruiting and placing executive-level personnel and other workers,” said Gulfstaff Director and General Manager Frank Yacenda. “India is today what China was just a few years ago, and the upside for U.S. companies looking to tap into this enormous market is significant.”

India, a country of 1.1 billion people, is home to the largest middle class in the world: Some 300 million people, larger than the entire U.S. population. In contrast to China, India is the world's largest democracy and has a well developed legal and judicial system. American law firms farm out legal support work to the country, and some American corporations are sending their employees to India to take advantage of the country's advanced medical installations and vastly lower costs. India developed some of the world's first “six-star” hotels and resorts, has a highly developed service sector, is second only to the U.S. in the number of scientific and technological personnel, and is one of the world's foremost centers of IT, finance and economics.

“Like our partners at High Productivity, we see enormous synergy in a strategic alliance joining the dynamic labor markets of the U.S. and India,” Yacenda said.

High Productivity Chief Executive Officer Piyush Shah said the company, founded in 1996 and based in the northwest state of Gujarat, has contracts with major oil and gas companies, including Shell and Total joint ventures in India, the Hazira liquefied natural gas terminal and port at Hazira, Gujarat, and the Essar Group, in energy, power, wind energy, pipeline and mega construction projects. The company supplies top management, technical and skilled personnel to operations in India and third countries from the West Indies to the Middle East, and also supports the construction industry, a Gulfstaff specialization as well on the hurricane-ravaged Gulf Coast.

“We see much business ahead between our two companies,” Shah said. “We have wanted to enter the U.S. market for some time, and this alliance with Gulfstaff enables us to do so.”
