Local First Time Author Lets Go; Not Just Another Story

A Child’s Story is memories transformed into an exciting short story that impacts all of your emotions. This book takes you through the life of a child that struggles to live in an ever changing environment from a very young age through his teenage years.

Pennsauken, NJ, December 18, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Local author Stephen D. Matthews has intrigue the literary world by showing that times haven’t changed much but just the people and published it on Lulu.com, for the world to read.

Mr. Matthews has taken his childhood thoughts and transformed them into an exciting short story that will impact all of your emotions.

An anonymous writer wrote “Life will present you with opportunities to shut up, but faith will present you with opportunities to stand up.” Mr. Matthews has stood up today to be an example that everyone has a story and that this story needed to be told.

Mr. Matthews started by writing this story over ten years ago to let go of some childhood baggage. Recently he picked it back up and began to fine tune this short story. This was another four months in the making.

Mr. Matthews say: “Only through the encouragement of family and friends over the years this book didn’t collect much dust. Thanks to my immediate family, my mother-in-law, friends, and Lulu Publishing I am now a published author.”

Although the book is title “A Child’s Story”, it is for the mature and written from a child’s perspective. “If life is what you make of it as an adult, what about when you are a child?” Maybe the answer to the question is easy for some but never is it easy for the child that goes through it in the absent of an adult.

Stephen D. Matthews is 39 years old and works in Healthcare in Cherry Hill, NJ. He lives in Pennsauken, NJ with his wife and daughters. His book can be found at
