Charlotte, NC, October 28, 2006 --(
PR.com)-- A new educational children's show may be hitting the air in the southeast starting in 2007.
"Think of Mr. Rogers Neighborhood but this time a child plays the part of Mr. Rogers," said the show's creator David Manning. "By creating a show specifically tailored to different age ranges, parents can find shows their children will want to watch regardless of their age. This show is exciting and children will learn without even knowing they're learning!"
The show is set to release in 2007 and younger children will learn important lessons watching episodes such as "Fire Safety!", "Don't Get Lost!" and "Brush Those Teeth!", while older children can watch shows like "Guitars Are Great!", "Let's Play Soccer!" and "Let's Learn Karate!"
This isn't a normal television show as you might think though, children will be able to access the entire show's catalog of episodes via the internet and watch them online or have them delivered to their house. The show's catalog spans hundreds of episodes dealing with everything from learning colors for younger viewers to common issues that many preteens face.
The show's star Alexis Stodghill, an actress local to Monroe, NC has appeared in a number of commercials, television shows and even a movie. Asked about her role on the show, the shy 10 year old simply says, "It's a lot of fun to film and the show is really neat and I hope that kids like it."
The show is a major production, from burning down a real two story house for the Fire Safety episode, renting helicopters and planes for arial shots to Alexis donning a karate uniform to teach about karate. "We do film in a studio, but we spend more time outdoors with real people then most shows you see on television."
