Document Management System Incorporated Into mumms® Hospice Software Programs

New Orleans, LA, April 09, 2010 --(PR.com)-- mumms® Software, the leading electronic health record (EHR) provider for hospice and palliative care, has incorporated its longstanding document management program, mumms® Attachments, into the mumms® Hospice Software System. mumms® Attachments is a document management system that allows users to upload documents into patients’ electronic medical files, such as lab reports, physician and/or hospital records, and photographs. Patient photographs offer another layer of protection to insure correct matching of patients to their charts. Once uploaded, these files are available to clinical staff in real time.

Attachments can be used as a standalone application or in conjunction with mumms® Patient Activity and Statistics (PAS), mumms® Care Plans and Charting (CPC), or the At Risk Registry. The flexibility of this document management system increases efficiency by having easy, direct access to critical patient information and reducing the need for storage space.
