Expanding His Coaching Abilities, Clive Sury is the Newest ActionCOACH Business Coach

Once a coach for the automotive industry, Clive Sury is expanding his career to coach small business owners with ActionCOACH England.

Ilkey, United Kingdom, July 09, 2010 --(PR.com)-- With more and more businesses looking towards business coaches to help out their business, Clive Sury wanted to jump on the bandwagon and be one of those coaches to help change the small business world. Sury has decided to become a business coach with ActionCOACH.

ActionCOACH is the world’s leader in business and executive coaching. When Brad Sugars, Chairman and Founder, started the company in 1993, it was still in its nascent stages. By franchising the company in 1997, Sugars helped business coaching become more mainstream turning it into the second fastest growing category behind Information Technology. ActionCOACH specializes in coaching small to medium size business as well as executive teams and group coaching.

Sury first heard of ActionCOACH while looking at management franchise businesses. He came across the business coaching franchise and immediately knew that with his skill base that this was something to look into.

ActionCOACH has a rigorous recruitment process. Not only does the candidate have to be interested in the company but has the skill set needs to fit the ActionCOACH model. Sury fit this mold. He comes to ActionCOACH with a background in training and consulting. His previous job, a commercial director for a sales training and consultancy business gave him the opportunity to work with clients to build more profit. Previous to that he worked in the automotive industry where he focused on training in sales, marketing, operations and customer support to the dealerships. Business coaching seemed to be the next step in his career and in his blood.

“Whenever I’ve been in a business, be it manufacturing, services, or a retail outlet; I’ve always starting working out in my head: how does this place make money? How could the team work better? And how could the service experience or product received by the customer be improved,” says Sury. “I’ve worked both for large corporations and small companies. From large organisations I’ve benefited from extensive professional training and development programmes, with a wide variety of assignments and learnt many different job functions. Whilst working with SME’s has given me real sharp end commercial and customer service responsibility so I know how hard it is to consistently lead a team to get the results you want. My aim is to use the proven methods of ActionCOACH in highly practical ways to help clients achieve their goals with my personal experiences and skills in support to translating the best approaches to implement new ways of working.”

The external factors of running your own business also pushed Sury to join ActionCOACH. The desire and freedom of being your own boss is extremely fulfilling.

“I needed a change in life but needed to stay with what I knew and was good at. I’ve always wanted to work for myself and the redundancy settlement of my past employers presented the financial backing to do this tied to a successful organisation,” said Sury. “When I look at the times at work that I’ve enjoyed most, I’ve also achieved the most both personally and professionally. This has been when in roles working directly alongside people changing their operation with better systems, marketing, sales processes and people management. So, ActionCOACH offers an opportunity for me to do what I’m best at and what I enjoy doing on a daily basis.”

Sury is excited to start his new adventure. Sury resides in Illkey, United Kingdom where he will set up his firm. He will practice in Illkey and the urban areas that are nearby. Sury will begin his journey as a business coach in Las Vegas, Nevada where the ActionCOACH Global Office is located. Here he spent 10 days training with other new business coaches from around the world. They’ll learn the ins and outs of ActionCOACH, how to run a business the ActionCOACH way, branding, systems and techniques, how to apply their knowledge to any business and much more.

“I am really looking forward to all this. I think that everything I’ve done to date has led to this and hope that these experiences give the depth of understanding and skills in working with others required to get clients more than the results they wanted- and therefore, build a highly successful coaching practice,” exclaims Sury.
