The finding was the strongest evidence yet that the foreclosure epidemic and the financial crisis harming the U.S. economy are being blamed on the financial industry.
A huge 97% of respondents to the online poll said they do not trust bankers to have their best interests in mind when conducting business. The Mortgage Bankers Association says 94% of all mortgages being applied for these days are fixed rate mortgages, which assure mortgage holders of a pre-determined mortgage payment that cannot be increased like adjustable rate mortgages.
