PR.com)-- As of 1st July GCI Mannov establishes a new affiliated company under the international WPP brand Cohn & Wolfe.
"The setting up of Cohn & Wolfe shall be seen as part of a growth strategy", says Steffen Lüders, managing director of GCI Mannov. "The Danish market for public relations is still underdeveloped and there is a demand for more professional players in order to increase the growth. We just went ahead and did it, instead of waiting for others to do it", Lüders adds.
Cohn & Wolfe has previously been present in Denmark, where it became one of the biggest PR agencies at the end of the nineties.
The new PR agency will function as a portal to the Nordic market for the international Cohn & Wolfe chain. A group of seven experienced consultants from GCI Mannov, each with their own client portfolio, will start up the affiliate and so the agency will be a strong player in the communications arena from day one. Among the clients of the re-born agency are Roche and Pfizer. Søren Berzant, previously a partner in GCI Mannov, will be managing director and partner in Cohn & Wolfe.
"Cohn & Wolfe is internationally known for its strength within healthcare, consumer, corporate affairs and technology. In Denmark we will start out by being one of the strongest players within healthcare, but we also aim to create rapid growth within the other key areas" says Søren Berzant.
The new agency will initially be based on one floor of GCI Mannov's building in central Copenhagen, but intends to move to its own premises by the end of the year.
In spite of the division, GCI Mannov remains the biggest PR agency in Denmark.
