Three Things Parents of Special Needs Children Must Learn so They Don’t Hold Their Children Back

Los Angeles, CA, October 23, 2010 --(PR.com)-- All parents of special needs children want the best for their children, but some may be unconsciously contributing to their child’s learning problems. Three damaging behaviors some parents employ include: focusing on a child's problems rather than potential solutions, reinforcing a child's feelings about his/her limitations, and not knowing how to develop a strong relationship with their child.

Dr. Kari Miller of Miller Educational Excellence provides a different approach to resolve these parent and child issues in the November episode of her monthly BlogTalkRadio show, Special Kid School Talk. On November 7th at 3pm PST, she will share with parents:

· The qualities that make special needs students successful and how parents can encourage these powerful qualities in their children.
· How to avoid the parenting traps that rob your child of the power to succeed.
· How to become a “charismatic” parent and develop a loving and connected relationship with your child.

Special Kid School Talk is Dr Miller’s monthly call-in radio show, broadcast on the BlogTalkRadio.com network, in which she shares strategies that parents and professionals can use to support children with special educational needs and help them become academically successful. The show airs the first Sunday of the month (except for major holidays) at 3pm PST.
