GM – ACS Dealer Management System Communications Enhanced with New VIS Interface

Window’s® Based ACCESS Dealer Management System (DMS) upgrades GM communications with automated service interface.

Mobile, AL, October 29, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Automotive Computer Services, Inc. (ACS) announced today the completion of their advanced General Motors Vehicle Inquiry System (VIS) into its ACCESS® dealer management system (DMS). This second generation interface automatically provides service advisors using ACS ACCESS the additional information they need to make informed decisions as a customer repair order is created. The enhanced GM VIS is included within ACS’ new Windows-based Service Writer Pro application and provides information for all GM brands, including Saturn, Pontiac, Hummer, and Saab. Service Writer Pro is a standard part of the ACS ACCESS DMS.

To improve communications throughout the entire DMS, the new GM VIS information is also accessible in the service appointment and technician portions of Service Writer Pro as well as ACSFirst, ACCESS’ F&I application, using ACCESS’ simple point-and-click format.
