Brentwood, TN, December 02, 2010 --(PR.com)-- LegacyTree Foundation President Jim Wolter says, “In today’s difficult economy, many non-profits have experienced a devastating decrease in the amount of direct donations and giving. In 2009 our foundation became familiar with the work being done to feed the hungry by Tom Henry, Executive Director of Feed America First and his small team of employees and volunteers. We want to support and encourage them in what they are doing.”

Feed America First has been able to accomplish amazing things, distributing over $8 million of food in 2010 to hungry families in rural and remote areas of the southeast that are underserved by the major urban food banks. Their work results in 12-15 meals being provided for every $1 dollar donated.

Joining Jim Wolter at LegacyTree Foundation are Nanette Beebe, Vice President of LTF and Annette Johnson, Vice President of LTF, also a member of Feed America First’s Board of Directors. The officers of LegacyTree Foundation bring a combined 20 + years of experience in charitable and non-profit work and over 50 years of experience working with the financial services industry to help raise funds for charities.
