PR.com)-- Patrick Sweeney, executive vice president at Caliper, will discuss how female leaders are succeeding in leadership roles by redefining how teams work in an interactive presentation hosted by the Network of Women in Computer Technology (NWCT). The event takes place from 5:30 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2007 at Sterling Glen, 20th and Ben Franklin Parkway in Philadelphia.
Sweeney, whose company recently studied successful women in business from six countries around the world, will discuss the findings of the paper, entitled “The Qualities that Distinguish Women Leaders.”
The program will include a discussion of how women in successful organizations are:
Redefining leadership by using teamwork to improve communication, increase creativity, reduce politics and deliver results.
Addressing critical business issues through relationship building, consensus building and team building
Defining qualities that distinguish female leaders from their male peers.
Sweeney—an international speaker who has delivered keynote addresses on various career, team and leadership topics—was former N.J. Governor Brendan Byrnes’ speechwriter. Along with Caliper's president Dr. Herb Greenberg, he has co-authored a number of books, including "Succeed on Your Own Terms" and “How to Hire and Develop Your Next Top Performer: The Five Qualities That Make Salespeople Great.” Together, the two co-host the nationally syndicated radio show “Winning in Business.”
