Rutland Games Smartphone App Gets Red Carpet Treatment from Apple

Just in time for the Oscars, Apple has approved Rutland Games’ Movie Studio Mogul for sale through its iTunes app store.

Rutland, VT, February 05, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Just in time for the Oscars, Apple has approved Rutland Games’ Movie Studio Mogul for sale through its iTunes app store.

Rutland Games Inc , founded in 2010, is a small software company in Rutland Vermont. Movie Studio Mogul is its first Smartphone game. Movie Studio Mogul creates a “movie studio” that allows players to produce a slate of films for their studio, from hiring the screenwriters, developing the scripts, casting the actors and setting the budgets.

According to Rutland Games co-founder, Neil Evans, Movie Studio Mogul is a game that allows players to experience the fantasy joys of creating a mega-hit or a mega-flop.

“A movie producer makes sure that a financial investment is made into a movie,” Evans said, “Often you may not recognize the name, but chances are you have heard of their movies, such as Jerry Bruckheimer (Pirates of the Caribbean), Brian Grazer (A Beautiful Mind), Frank Marshall (Raiders of the Lost Ark), Avi Arad (X-Men), Steven Spielberg (Back to the Future), and Ivan Reitman (Ghost Busters).”

“And, now, thanks to Movie Studio Mogul, players can add their name to the list, “ Evans added.

“Players will deal with problems that crop up in the production of the film – tension on the set, budget overruns, filming problems and whatnot,” Evan explained, “The ultimate goal is to have fun while working “with some famous people like Julia Hawburts, George Cleeney, Brad Fitt, Clint Yeastwood, Angelina Wholee, and Meryl Schneep."

Movie Studio Mogul can be purchased for $1.99 through the iTunes online store http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/movie-mogul/id416801996?mt=8.
