Telling the Truth Gives Power: Massachusetts Private Investigator & Creator of "Seven Signs of Lying" CD, Michael A. Coller, Speaks to the Media about Truth & Lies

Private Investigator Michael A. Coller now publicly speaks out on how to detect lies and urges people to tell the truth. “It is only human to lie. However, in this economy, the number of liars are rapidly increasing. People need money and will do anything to get it, even if it means conning a senior citizen or stealing from an employer,” says Coller.

Telling the Truth Gives Power: Massachusetts Private Investigator & Creator of "Seven Signs of Lying" CD, Michael A. Coller, Speaks to the Media about Truth & Lies
Lynn, MA, February 25, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Newspaper Reporter Robin Kaminski, of the Massachusetts periodical, "The Daily Item" prints the story: '7 Signs of Lying': Private Eye Produces CD to talk about local resident, Michael A. Coller and his quest to educate the public on Truth vs. Deception.

Kaminski learned that Michael Coller is an expert on lies. In addition to being a member of Licensed Private Detectives Association of Massachusetts (LPDAM), he has spent the past 20 years working in corporate and retail security, conducting many internal investigations and interviewing well over 2,000 individuals.

“I figured if I could do it to help a big company and provide credible defense for clients, then why not help people do the same?” Coller said in the interview. In January, 2011 Coller released the "Seven Signs of Lying," a CD sharing the seven tell-tale signs of lying in a clever and unique way.

Besides giving the listeners these seven signs, Coller adds "visual imagery" to his CD, the same sort of imagery elite athletes use in preparation for a competition.

This way, listeners can "spot liars" in their mind's eye and mentally rehearse a conversation with a suspected liar, before actually doing it. With practice, this allows the listener to remain calm and relaxed when face to face with a person they question may be lying.

Mr. Coller also adds "the power of telling the truth" in his CD. "Being honest takes courage, but it gives you power in life. People will trust you, they know they can count on your word and you will have more opportunities in life. Think of someone you highly trust and respect. Are they a liar? I don't think so,” are words Mr. Coller speaks on his CD.

With the Seven Signs of Lying CD being only 6 weeks old, Michael Coller is passionate about educating people to spot liars. His question has become, "How do I get the most amount of people to hear this information as quickly as possible?" Mr. Coller is now aiming his focus on sharing his CD with the media in order to speak about truth and deception nationwide.

In his experience, Coller knows liars are everywhere. People lie within romantic relationships, kids lie to their parents and teachers, those examples are obvious to most people.

One group he feels gets preyed on often are our senior citizens. There are fraudulent Home Mortgage schemes as well as companies that insist they offer the lowest price for items such as carpets, home repair and replacement windows. Coller shares, “Seniors often believe a trusting salesperson, and may pay $600 per each replacement window, just because the person seemed nice!”

He feels that educating children at an early age to pick up on the signs of a liar would make them less apt to trust a stranger. In addition, restaurants, bars, and retail stores have numerous accounts of theft from both customers and employees. “In this poor economy with such high unemployment rates, people will lie often just to get a job, eventually costing the employer both time in training and money,” Coller states.

What would be the advantage to people learning to detect lies? If enough people have this information, Mr. Coller feels more people would be forced to tell the truth. “It would be hard to imagine the day that people were always truthful, but trying to educate as many people as possible is certainly is a great game to play,” says Coller.

Michael Coller can be contacted through his website www.michaelcoller.com and the CD is available at www.7SignsofLying.com, and at Amazon and iTunes.
