Idaho Falls, ID, April 17, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Controlled Capture Systems, Idaho Falls, Idaho announced today that they have released an ultra portable version of their popular time-lapse based imaging software for the Google Android™ smartphone and tablet platform. The application, Controlled Capture© utilizes many of the algorithms used in Controlled Capture Systems’ popular RTLVideo© and Guardian© for USB cameras software. Controlled Capture is available on the Android Market in two versions, a free ad-based Lite version to allow customers to test the app and a full featured paid Pro version.

"We have received many requests from our customers for Android based imaging products to allow our users to have portable image processing systems in their pockets," states Rick Fluck, CEO of Controlled Capture Systems. Fluck adds, “Due to technological advances in processors and memory, new cellular devices using the Android platform now have enough horsepower to process images taken by the smart phone’s camera, in real time, and also the connectivity to upload the collected data to data centers for distribution. This was unthinkable just a few years ago.”

Controlled Capture Systems’ computer based RTLVideo software has been used by many companies, since its inception in 2001, to gather digital information in the form of time-lapse based movies for the construction of buildings and structures, the counting of nesting animal populations in wetland areas, and zero gravity bubble studies. Fluck states, “We are excited to announce the release of Controlled Capture for Android, as the application sports the same capabilities as our computer based systems. Controlled Capture supports both time-lapse based imagery and also video acquisition. Like our computer based systems, Controlled Capture is fully customizable to allow us to meet our customer’s portable image processing needs.” Fluck adds, “We currently have an inventory based imaging application for Android in the queue which is slated for release in the very near future; stay tuned.”
