PR.com)-- The awards banquet will be held on May 24, 2011 at 5:30pm at the Marriott at the Convention Center. Vista West High School was adopted by Jose and Lisette to support the students facing day to day challenges and pursuit of their education. The sponsors set high standards to achieve to be eligible to participate in the awards and banquet ceremony.
Selection criteria included-perfect attendance, 3.0 grade point average, positive attitude and appearance. The sponsors hosted student assemblies to reinforce these values and to encourage students to stay in school and complete their high school education. Fifty One (51) students have earned the awards and will be honored at the banquet Tuesday night. They will be accompanied by a parent to share in the joy of their achievements. The staff and teachers of Vista West are also invited to support the students. In addition to the awards, Jose and Lisette have invited several guest speakers to give additional encouragement to these students.
This is an important event where students and their families may come together to demonstrate what they have and can accomplish with a little support and encouragement.
