Su Vino Sweeps Grapevine Wine Tours' Quarterly Awards

Grapevine Wine Tours guests vote Su Vino tops in both wine and winery categories.

Grapevine, TX, July 14, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Guests of the Grapevine Wine Tours have selected Su Vino Winery as Grapevine’s “Most Outstanding Winery” in the latest quarterly vote, which concluded June 30. Su Vino’s Summer Rain also took top honors in the “Most Outstanding Wine” category.

This is the fourth quarterly awards competition since Grapevine Wine Tours began operations in July 2010. The Most Outstanding Wine and Winery of the Year will be unveiled later this month, during the company’s first-anniversary celebration.

“We are honored by this important recognition from guests of Grapevine Wine Tours,” said David Scott, proprietor of Su Vino Winery. “We take great pride in our wines, and we’re pleased that they share our enthusiasm for Summer Rain and our entire winery. We also continue to be very impressed by the impact Grapevine Wine Tours has had on our area. They are a welcome addition to our town.”

“As always, the competition for our awards was very tight this quarter, which is a reflection of the quality of the seven wineries we visit,” said Ladd Biro, co-owner of Grapevine Wine Tours. “This time around, Su Vino stood above the rest, thanks to their excellent wine-tasting experience and the many delicious wines they serve. In fact, several of their vintages, including Cheeky Monkey and their Almond Sparkling wine, are consistently among our guests’ favorites.”

Grapevine Wine Tours will mark its first anniversary on July 24th. The tours have been extremely popular with out-of-town visitors and locals alike.

“We couldn’t be more pleased with our first year of operations,” said Biro. “We have grown steadily virtually every month, we’ve established excellent relationships with the local hotels, we’re pulling better than expected from the local market and, of course, we are blessed to work with an amazing group of wineries and their owners.”

Tours rotate daily between Cross Timbers Winery, Delaney Vineyards, D’Vine Wine, Farina’s Winery & Café, Homestead Winery, La Buena Vida Vineyards and Su Vino. Every four-hour excursion includes tastings at three wineries, a delicious lunch or dinner, a tour of Historic Grapevine led by a professional guide, and transportation to and from local hotels on a 25-passenger tour bus.

Daily lunch and dinner tours are affordably priced at $64.50 and $84.50, respectively. Group rates and deluxe packages designed for corporate outings, conference and convention groups, fundraisers, birthday and anniversary celebrations and other special occasions are also available.

At the conclusion of every tour, guests are asked to complete a survey, which includes their choices for most outstanding winery and wine. Awards are announced quarterly and annually, exclusively by Grapevine Wine Tours.

Previous winners of the Most Outstanding Winery awards include Homestead Winery (twice) and Delaney Vineyards. Homestead’s 2007 Syrah, Delaney’s 2007 Muscat Canelli and Farina’s Texas Blend have each earned Most Outstanding Wine honors.
