At this time, Hurricane Irene is moving North-North West at a speed of 13 miles per hour with wind speeds of 115 miles per hour. The current track of the storm has it located just off the east coast of Florida and projected to travel up the east coast through the next 5 days with wind speeds topping out at 125 miles per hour by Friday morning.

Hurricane advisories have been issued for coastal areas and freight and other vessels in the area are advised to keep an eye on the track of the storm through such means as The National Weather Service or the web site http://www.weather.com.
