The Special Event Company Wins Two ESPRIT Awards

Strategic Event and Meeting Management Company Awarded for Its Mint Museum Opening Gala Wine Pairing Dinner and Duke Children’s Health Center 10th Anniversary Production

The 2011 ISES Eventworld conference, which was held in St. Louis, Mo. honored The Special Event Company with the two awards. A program designed to showcase exceptional talents, the ISES ESPRIT International Award program sheds light on the efforts, performance, creativity and outstanding contributions of members across the special events industry.

The Wine Pairing dinner at the Mint Museum in Charlotte, N.C. was awarded Best ISES Team Effort with a budget under $75,000. The Duke Children’s Health Center 10th Anniversary Donor Dinner won Best Event for a Non-Profit with a budget between $75,000 and $200,000. Accommodating nearly 300 guests across three levels of the children’s hospital, the event included performances by Broadway composer David Friedman and was hosted by ESPN’s Jay Bilas.
