About Pete M. Gatseos

Pete M. Gatseos came to the telecommunications industry from the Denver Research Institute where he performed information diffusion, new product adoption and telecommunications research. He is recognized as a telecommunications research pioneer, after having created and managed the Time-Warner Research department from 1979 to 1988, where he became the Cable TV industry’s first Vice President of Consumer Research and planning. From 1989 to 1993 he ran his own consulting firm, specializing in advanced media problem-solving services. Since 1994 he has lead AT&T Broadband’s consumer research efforts as Vice President of Marketing Intelligence and Strategic Research, responsible for management of all consumer research activities in operations, marketing, programming, new product assessment and Internet services. He also leads the company’s competitive intelligence gathering activities. Dr. Gatseos received a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and two Master’s Degrees in Speech Communications and Mass Communications from the University of Denver. Dr. Gatseos received a Ph.D. in Communications Research from the University of Colorado. His industry activities include chairing the CAB’s Committee on Local Cable Audience Measurement and Co-Chairing CTAM’s Research Conference. Dr. Gatseos enjoys the theatre, the opera and basketball.
