Members of international hotel and lodging associations and IHMRS attendees will have the opportunity to learn how SARA and CATIE can help their facilities prevent loss of life, property, business and convenience, while at the same time offering an amenity and communication tool to their guests.

Charlottesville, VA, November 12, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Status Solutions, provider of the Situational Awareness and Response Assistant (SARA), will feature its enhanced location capability - SARA’s Positioning System (SPS), desktop notification solution - SARA’s eMessenger, and CATIE – interactive tool providing Communication and Access to Information Everywhere at next week’s International Hotel, Motel + Restaurant Show (IHMRS) 2011 in New York, NY, in booth 3152.

Members of international hotel and lodging associations and IHMRS attendees will have the opportunity to learn how SARA and CATIE can help their facilities prevent loss of life, property, business and convenience, while at the same time offering an amenity and communication tool to their guests. The robust alerting engine has enabled hospitality providers throughout North America to deliver life safety assurance, security monitoring, environmental awareness and mass notification. Two of SARA’s innovative capabilities will be on display during next week’s conference in New York City.

SARA’s Positioning System (SPS) is patent pending (US Patent Application No. 12/690,443) technology that enables enhanced location support for mobile devices within the Inovonics EchoStream RF Infrastructure. SPS is of a one-of-a-kind positioning capability, enabling SARA to serve as a facility’s real-time locating system (RTLS). This is an ideal solution for lone workers such as hotel service staff members, as well as guests.

SPS is the process of SARA automatically creating a multi-dimensional model of the EchoStream RF Infrastructure on any property. The model consists of both fixed devices such as wall mounted panic buttons, motion sensors, smoke detectors, etc. and virtual points of interest within the facility or campus. When a person activates their mobile device such as a panic button, SARA mathematically compares the location of the mobile person in question to the model, and provides the closest positions.

Through SARA’s eMessenger, users can leverage existing technology to receive emergency and non-emergency alerts from SARA on their Windows based computer desktops. SARA’s eMessenger enhances the centralization of alerts while extending the ability to communicate to potentially thousands of screens throughout a hospitality based facility/

Attendees will also meet CATIE, a personal information center that provides Communication and Access to Information Everywhere. CATIE, an interactive multi-media touch screen enabled kiosk, providing two-way communication, as well as other tools to enhance a guest’s stay and the productivity of service staff members. Offering a Bulletin Board of information, a Schedule of events, direct connection to the front desk, a directory of local services, etc., CATIE allows those offering an amenity set to increase occupancy through differentiation.
