Greenwoodnursery.com Announces Proven Winners’ Bloom-A-Thon Azaleas for Spring 2012 Shipping

Greenwoodnursery.com, mail order online nursery, is proud to announce that they are now booking orders for Bloom-A-Thon re-blooming azaleas for spring 2012.

McMinnville, TN, December 03, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Greenwood Nursery has provided people from coast to coast with great plants and exceptional customer service for over 30 years. Starting this month, they are booking orders for an exciting new breed of azaleas: the Bloom-A-Thon re-blooming azalea rhododendron from Proven Winners for shipping spring 2012.

“We have been providing Proven Winners varieties to our customers for many seasons, and now we are proud to be given the opportunity to offer such unique plants like the Bloom-A-Thon re-blooming azaleas,” said Cheryl Jones, Greenwood Nursery owner. “Evergreen flowering shrubs are always in demand.”

Developed by Bob and Lisa Head of Head’s Select in Seneca, SC, Bloom-A-Thon re-blooming azaleas were much anticipated this past year. The large colorful blooms appear in April, then again in June. Available in four colors, these new azaleas hold their blooms through the scorching summer sun until the first fall frost.

Bloom-A-Thon azaleas work beautifully as borders or in clusters. The evergreen shrubs bloom for 4-6 weeks in spring and again 12-16 weeks in summer to fall with rich colors. These azalea rhododendron varieties mature in the 3-6 feet ranges.

This new azalea also offers better cold hardiness, and with its self-pruning nature stays compact. They prefer a more shaded area from the harsh sun, and it does well in the heat. Smaller varieties with pink and white blooms do great for container gardens that demand maximum performance year round for every inch of allotted space.

Greenwoodnursery.com is excited to offer this rare breed to their customers. They will be booking orders now, through spring, with plants shipping in spring 2012. This re-blooming azalea is currently available in 4 colors, red, white (being the dwarf size), lavender, and double pink, but more are anticipated for a later release, which Greenwoodnursery.com will be quick to offer.
