2012IECC R49 Requirement Met with Invisco Ceiling and Attic Duct Connector

2012IECC has raised the bar for attic insulation. Now zones 4,5,6, and 7 all require R49 insulation in new homes. Invisco has the first solution ever offered for hvac duct and whole house fan ducts in homes with freezing temperatures in the winter.

Temecula, CA, February 04, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Invisco has announced the first attic duct connector to offer insulating specifications to meet the 2012IECC specifications for R49 performance in new homes.

The Invisco design (which is patent pending) incorporates the latest technology in "thermally broken" assembly plus the latest NASA spinoff aerogel plus the powerful insulating properties of trapped air to give you an attic duct connection that is capable of offering in excess of R60 performance.

This innovative design is usable for a variety of applications including hvac ducts and whole house fans.

In fact, the system is perfect as an option for whole house fans from QuietCool, Tamarack Technologies, and Airscape.

The system comes in standard duct sizes including 12 inches, 14, 16, 18 and 20 inch diameters.

The system is very easy to install. The system mounts in a simple hole in the ceiling - 16 inches, for example. Simply cut the hole, drop the Invisco duct adapter into the hole, surround it with any insulation such as cellulose.

The Invisco duct adapter has clips to prevent it from falling through the hole in the ceiling and straps to tie it down.
