Celebrity Artist William Quigley Donates Works to be Auctioned at Celebrity Event in New York to Raise Funds for Charity

Celebrity Artist William Quigley donates print from his limited edition series of his new works to the Seeds of Africa Fund to be auctioned off at their February 13th Star Studded Charity event in New York City.

New York, NY, February 09, 2012 --(PR.com)-- William Quigley has shown internationally since the early 1990s in Galleries, Museums Art Fairs such as ArtBasel. His work has also been featured in several media interviews including NBC Dateline, ABC televisions "life styles of the rich and famous" with George Hamilton. He was 2007 VH1 visual artist of the Year, started the now annual Boarding for Breast Cancer Art show in 2004, and had his first show with Andy Warhol at Henry S. McNeil's gallery in 1985.

Seeds of Africa Fund is very excited to present a Rare Limited Edition Print from NY/LA Artist William Quigley. Each created at Boston University Press from a series of paintings of Abraham Lincoln, Michael Jordan, and an 8ft original Audrey Hepburn, owned by Robert Beal, one of Boston’s top Real Estate Developers and Art Collectors.

He started with Fresh Paved Skater Jeff Gaites, the now annual Boarding for Breast Cancer Art show in 2004, and had his first show with Andy Warhol at Henry S. McNeil's gallery in 1985.

This piece will be shown and placed for auction Monday February 13th, 2012 at the Seeds of Africa Fund's Spread the Seed event in New York City. Proceeds raised will be used to build a school in Zimbabwe: Seeds of Africa Knowledge Center.

Cocktail Reception at 7 - 8pm, Auction starts at 8pm, Open Bar, Hors d'oeuvre, Networking, Raffle, and Silent Auction, Attire: Red, White, and Black.

Grand Piano for the evening will be played by Michael Graye. Music selections Liam McMullan and Michael Demby. The Date Auction hosted by Alicia Marie Rivers and silent auction handled by Herb Mauthner of Mountain Auctions.

There will be a Special African dance performance by Imperial Music and Dance featuring cast members from the hit Broadway musical FELA!

William is on the Directors Board of the Children’s Museum of NY, donating extensively to many foundations and causes especially Edwin Gould, CMA (Children’s Museum NY), and Haiti. From 1999-2007 designed stages, albums, t-shirts and performed as dancer "Mr. Wiggles" with Pete Francis, pianist Paul Tillotson, and the band Dispatch, who went on to do a benefit 3 night Sellout Concert at Madison Square Garden donating over a $1 million dollars to Zimbabwe.
