CRA, Inc. Wins New Jersey Office of Homeland Security Preparedness Contract

Alexandria, VA, February 10, 2012 --(PR.com)-- CRA, Inc. announced today that it was awarded a contract by the New Jersey Office of Homeland Security and Preparedness (NJ OHSP) to develop and conduct a series of training exercises for jurisdictions adjacent to the New Jersey and New York Marine Terminals. The U.S. Department of Homeland Security Exercise and Evaluation Program (HSEEP)-compliant exercises will be designed to focus on law enforcement, fire, and medical/facility operations in a port environment.

CRA has a long history of working with NJ OHSP and the surrounding region, which includes delivering a series of critical infrastructure exercises throughout New Jersey; being selected as part of the New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, and Pennsylvania Regional Catastrophic Planning Team; and being chosen by the New York City Police Department and the Securing the Cities (STC) partners to provide exercise support for the STC program in the New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut region.

CRA’s Vice President and Program Manager Tom Irwin said, “The Ports of New York and New Jersey are critical to the economic stability of the entire region. We look forward to continuing our support of the NJ OHSP and their partners, in both the private and public sectors, as they continue their efforts to ensure they are prepared to prevent, respond to, and recover from both natural and manmade disasters.” Harriette Terbell, a member of CRA’s Board of Directors, said that, “the selection of CRA for this series of exercises assures NJ OHSP of outstanding credentials in HSEEP exercise design, delivery, and evaluation, as well as knowledge and understanding of the unique and complex issues surrounding maritime and port security.”
