Userful to Demo Thin Client Alternative at Cebit 2012

Userful MultiSeatâ„¢ solution which turns one Linux computer into 20+ high performance independent computer stations using the HP t200 zero client device.

Calgary, Canada, April 12, 2012 --(PR.com)-- At Cebit in the Canadian Pavilion (Hall 13, Stand D 28) in Hanover Germany, from March 6-10, Userful, the world leader in Linux desktop virtualization, will be demonstrating the next generation of their Userful MultiSeat™ solution which turns one Linux computer into 20+ high performance independent computer stations using the HP t200 zero client device. At $99 including the keyboard and mouse, the HP t200 is the world's lowest cost Ethernet (LAN) connected thin client alternative.

Userful MultiSeat enables schools and businesses to deploy three to four times as many computer users for the same cost. The HP t200 provides the capability to connect multiple stations to a single host PC such as the HP ms6200 directly over USB for close proximity computing environments without the need for a LAN, or install computer stations in multiple rooms using a single host PC with each station connected over Ethernet. Userful MultiSeat also supports most zero clients. The new product truly redefines the cost of a full-featured high-performance computer.

"This year Cebit's partner country is Brazil," said Tim Griffin, President of Userful. "We've already successfully deployed over 500,000 Userful zero client stations to schools in every municipality of Brazil, and the Brazilian Ministry of Education has reported saving 60% in up-front costs, and 80% in annual power savings as compared to their previous PC-per-station solutions."

Ministries of education and businesses are eligible for a free 90 day pilot to easily experience first hand the high performance, and ease of use of the solution.
